Are you flying into SFO or OAK? Either way is an easy peasy ride on BART, but from Oakland you have to take a shuttle to the BART station which costs $3 (cash, exact change) each person ( ... )

You would love the Exploratorium. http://www.exploratorium.edu/ There is a small cost but seriously it is worth it. Plus it is a beautiful area of SF. :)

Hey dude, sorry to be a downer, but I don't think we will see you when you visit this time. You'll be here during the work week and since I don't get off of work until after 5, it's an hour+ drive to the city and Mena needs to be in bed by 8..just isn't enough time!

I'm sorry, next time make at least one day a weekend day :)

Isn't it in San Francisco that there is a place where the waves and tides push air through pipes, creating music on a raised platform?

you're thinking of the wave organ. it's in the marina district.

http://www.exploratorium.edu/visit/wave_organ.html

that whole area is pretty nice, you can take a walk along Crissy Field to Fort Point and have a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from right underneath. then hike up a little and start your trek across the bridge.

also check out Lands End, Marin Headlands (after you cross the bridge, just keep trying to get to up the hill to your left) or Sausalito. a lot of the "touristy" things are the things us locals like doing too! the area is so beautiful and fun.

Mosser is in a central location. a couple of co-workers from Russia were staying there just this past week; they seemed to like it a lot.
