Wow. This brings me back.

For those of you who lived anywhere near New Orleans in the 80s and 90s, you saw this commercial -- or one like it -- many times a day. It became a part of the local culture, where everybody knew what "I got da fifty dollas!" or, "Ledda have it!" meant.

I hear you, man. We had an equivalent in the Northeast MS / West Central AL in the same period: Spiller Furniture Stores. Their line was "free deliv'ry, free in-home setup, and credit, credit, credit." The delivery of the owner's triplicate slogan became imitated from the Loess Bluffs to the Black Warrior.

Of course, we're in a lot of trouble now from credit, credit, credit...
