So I'm sitting in my room, minding my own business, when I hear stuff start falling off of my dresser. "No big deal," I think to myself. "I moved something earlier, I probably just knocked something else out of balance." So I ignore it and keep messing around on the computer. A few minutes later I hear more stuff falling. Ouch. That's a bad experience. I'm never going to complain about spiders in my room again. ><

How dit it manage to get in?

I have a built in desk, and apparently there's a hole in the floor underneath of it. I guess it must have crawled in through there. And don't worry, I was complaining about spiders a few days ago. I'm lucky enough to get spiders and snakes, I guess.

It just...crawled up there and made itself at home on your desk? Bold little thing! Do you know what kind it was?

(Sorry--I love snakes and would actually be kind of thrilled and amused if this happened to me.)

Yep. While I was sitting there, too. It was sitting on my cable modem, so I assume it was getting warm. It was just a black snake. I know that they're pretty harmless, I've just always had a thing about snakes. This isn't even the first time we've found one in our house, but it's been years since the last time.
