Very interesting story. I've never actually heard of someone being asexual before, so I would probably have the same reaction as Peter did. I liked the way Peter was accepting once he got over the inital shock. And I thought it was lovely the way both Peter and Elizabeth both ended up being just fine with the platonic relationship the three of them shared. :)

A much belated thank you, Jet! I'm glad Peter's reaction was understandable--as I said above, I didn't want him to come across as a bad guy!

Awww! This was wonderful, I really enjoyed it. I think the best part for me was Neal slowly wearing Peter (and El) down so they'd be on board with his platonic love. That Peter just had to push the issue was very him, and El's easy acceptance was perfectly in character too. Kudos!

Thanks so much, Debris! I didn't realize it, but that's what Neal did--he wore Peter and Elizabeth down. :)

oh my god! You're awesome! Finally someone put into lovely words my whole life and situation! Asexuality is real... and so many think that we got "HURT" to become this way. Thank you thank you thank you, dear jrosemary for this short story. I agree with phate_phoenix about Peter's reaction (so common among people when they learn about this) and Neal's POV that seems like an echo of my own soul.

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! I'm glad this story seemed to get the difficulties of asexuality--and people's reaction to it--right.

I'm working on a sequel right now--hopefully it'll be ready to post soon.

I like how you handled Neal's asexuality here. It came off as very genuine and honest!
