A) Who really cares? I imagine the reason this isn't getting a lot of news is because it's not even recent. The damn thing broke off almost a year and a half ago and if no one cared then, why would they care now.
B) They don't actually clone the meat you eat. They clone the breeders of the meat you eat. So basically the mommy cow and daddy cow of the baby cow might be clones, but the hamburger you scarf won't itself be a clone. There's no evidence yet that the offspring of clones are problematic to my knowledge as long as the parents weren't so screwed up as to be sterile in the first place.
Of note: that ice shelf is 3000 years old. That means that 3000 years ago it didn't exist. We weren't driving Hummers 3000 year ago, so why was it so warm in Canada then?
The answer to that question is why I'm not shitting myself over global warming.
