Worked on bass tones for my beat-boxing bass tonight and gave myself a royal headache.  Ugh.  Calling it a night early.

For all interested parties, here's the latest version of my ever-changing Bowie comp.  ( 45 years of singles, album cuts, demos, live tracks and rarities in biographical form. )

Got on the mic and spit out a bassline this evening for "Edward R."  Then chopped it up in a digital blender.  Very hectic, but very fun.  Tomorrow night I'll add some additional percussion to the mix and figure out what noise(s) will play the chord arrangement.

Went for a long run today with March winds at my back.  Kept a good pace for almost an hour.  Still being a long-distance runner, I do love the feeling of good, torn, leg muscles.  Perhaps I'll regret this feeling in the morning.

Well this is frustrating.  I'm trying to find the right key for "Edward R. Murrow."  The melody is set, but I fear it might need a rewrite with some new chords.  The problem is me - I've grown up.  "Murrow" was written a long time ago (2002?) in C major and I just can't limit myself to the white keys anymore.
