So I totally got paid the other day.  Woohoo!  I got about $450 or so, which was nice to have since I was eating soup and PB and J every day lol.  I had a first aid/cpr class this week, too, so that broke up some of the Goshawk Call monotony.  After the first aid class and a short hike of goshawk calls on Grayback Ridge, I went to a few bike stores ( Read more... )

So I'm here in Jackson, WY and it is awesome.  I'm living in a nice little log cabin out in the mountains about 15 miles from the busy hub-bub (bub) of town.  There is wildlife everywhere.  There are biking and hiking trails everywhere.  There are mountains everywhere.  There are fish filled streams, rivers and lakes everywhere.  I work a 4-day ( Read more... )

That was one of the best hockey games I've ever seen.  Despite losing a 2-0 lead and looking like junior hockey in the 3rd period and 1st OT while trying to stave off elimination, the Pens pulled it together, dug deep and came off with a 4-3 win in the 3rd overtime.  The Red Wings scored 3 unanswered goals to take the lead halfway through the 3rd ( Read more... )

So, in the US there are arguably two mountain biking destinations which trump all others: Fruita, CO and Moab, UT.  Moab is home to the famous Slickrock Trail, which is arguably the Mecca of biking trails, and Fruita is home to TONS of world famous interconnecting trails such as Joe's Ridge, Zippety-Doo-Dah and Kessel Run (done in 18 parsecs!).  ( Read more... )
