Not your fault at all. People ae responsible for themselves, and neither you nor the girl were doing anything wrong enough to trigger that.

I agree. Not your fault at all. Obviously had more going on emotionally and mentally to react so strongly to that.

all of us outsiders can't be wrong? darq_one August 16 2007, 03:50:42 UTC
Do you honestly believe in your heart you caused the death of someone else's careless choice. We have the power to make our own choices. You didn't drive that car.
How can you let someone else's actions weigh on you.

I think we always feel like we know when someone around us or close to us is about to die. As humans we go through the what if's and the blame. It's natural to feel that way. But know in your heart that you really didn't have anything to do with it. If it wasn't the conversation that triggered him to drink and drive, it could have been anything else. It's tragic his actions have to affect everyone negatively but don't feel the guilt of his terrible choices. You are only human and an honest one. Grieve and heal your friend needs you, don't let yourself fall into a pit of guilt..Focus your energy more positively.

I know you know these things I have said but we all need to be reminded. *sending my love!*
