I’ve got this fantastic idea. I’m going to spend all of my time writing (or at least thinking about writing) bleak, maudlin stories about or inspired by my intermittent depressive spells. I bet nobody’s ever thought of that before. Certainly not any twenty-somethings with depressing jobs and without direction. I’m a fucking genius.

It's my birthday, and I wanted to have some sort of theme-party, but all I could come up with is palindromes. I wasn't really sure how to dress for that.

Being happy like this is really dangerous for me. I keep almost getting hit by cars because I'm all dopey and dreamy headed and I walk absent mindedly into traffic a lot.

Less than 3 hours ago, I heard Margaret Atwood say "dickhead" and giggle. All of the bitchiness and grand-dame bullshit that followed was totally negated. She said "dickhead" and she giggled.

Apparently, a Nova Scotian mother is lobbying to keep moose off of the highway. I don't understand how one goes about lobbying for something like that. Do you go to the moose with your petition and enter negotiations, or what?

Rachel's having a birthday party for me tonight. It's at her & Mackenzie's, sometime after dark. I don't know if anyone who reads this is in town, but if you are, you should come. There's gonna be cake, and maybe some tennis players.
