Syd's Rapid: NINE boats, 5 paddles.

Given the number of people who were separated from their boats (and the boats continued downstream), I'm surprised this toll was so low. After a fashion.

Most of the time you get away with it - I got separated from mine by about 200m at Championships, but it nicely sat in an eddy waiting for me. Often they'll just drift down for a while before getting stuck in a tree on the bank.

I have no idea if the guy I clobbered got his boat back - given that it went down the waterfall while he got out of the water at the top of the main drop, I don't like his chances.
