My boss went to Get Sloshed in the Valley this year with a few old friends, including an old-school GIS entrepreneur who, in a past life, formed ERMapper. His latest project is NearMap, using some incredible camera technology to take high-res aerial photos at a ridiculously low cost - which means he can fly them more often ( Read more... )

That's *really* neat. I'm trying to figure out when that must have been flown - green paddocks but worn areas.

Yeah, I couldn't find the other horse either - the one you can see is lost in the glare. It's fascinating stuff - we've just been searching around our area to see how many people have solar power systems, you can work out the capacity of everyone's systems by counting the individual panels. :)
