aha indiest made me lauugh. definitely pixies then architecture in helsinki, the blow, modest mouse kind of, iron and wine maybe, idk, that's tootough.

Yeah, AIH is solid too, although I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't dig Modest Mouse.

aih is siqnasty. i've heard two songs by modest mouse; they were okay, but i was in the state of mind where all music is heaven, so who really knows

Ahh Bella and Sebastian sooo good!! Then Architecture in Helsinki, the blow, New Pornographers, Gregory and The Hawk, Metric, Moddest Mouse,Stars Theres probably more but i cant think of them.

Haha, I did qualify "best" with "indie" in phrasing the question. It reads "best indie band" not "best band."

Sorry, I can't make such a fatal concession as this. Although even disqualified from being "indie" that doesn't mean they aren't damn good.
