I think I may have to suck it up and let Kristopher's mom babysit for a half hour on Tuesdays.

Someone please tell me that it isn't possible for her to do something drastically stupid in half an hour's time. It just doesn't make sense for me to drive half an hour to drop Conrad off, only to have his dad come pick him up half an hour later.

You're not overprotective - any decent mother wouldn't want a drunk person blowing smoke into their baby's face.

Just make sure he's fed and dry when you drop him off, so that someone you trust more will be the one to feed/change him.

And if she's drunk, she doesn't get the priviledge of watching the baby. End of story.

Remind her to smoke before you get there, so she doesn't need one while the baby is there. She can smoke again after Kris picks him up, right?

I can't help but feel it is paritally the fact that I dislike her that is keeping me from letting her babysit.

I don't, but we're thinking about having Brian's mom babysit every day but Tuesday.
