long time no post.

i'm getting used to sub-zero temperatures and that's pretty crazy.

joined the Y again.  spinning classes are great for the emoto-life.

posted a bunch of photos.

looking for stories.

it's damn cold here all the time.  it hasn't been above freezing for over a week and they say this is mild.  it's ok to be outside for an hour or so, but i'm still not dressed well enough to feel fingers or toes past that.  i like living more outdoors, so this is annoying.  i don't like hiding indoors because i could die otherwise.  meh.

hi there,

i'm 2,500 miles from where i normally feel at home.  i've finally landed and nested a little in des plaines, il, just a few miles from the daily herald offices in arlington heights, which, in turn, is only a half hour from chicago.  it is cold here.  it will be even colder tomorrow.  go bears.

i made it.  i thought surely i would strangle one of my staff or send fire-bombs to all the writers or something ever-so-satifyingly-destructive before the end.  in the end though i had the best release of all: handing out grades.  it was an abysmal semester for the photographers this fall.  a big disappointment for me.  of course they all thought ( Read more... )
