Mouse in the house

Ok, so I have never had a cat in my life before. Who knew that she would decide to find mice and bring them inside to play with?

They like bringing presents in response for all the love you give them. Its not like they can send ya flowers hun. They do what they can. LOL

The_Mac_Danee is right, and your cat will also bring in birds, moles, crickets, and assorted creepy crawlies just because she wants to thank you for the food and the scritches.

Actually a stepmother of mine had an interesting trick she used for Lance to stop him from bringing in 'treats for mommie'.

She put a smallish basket outside by the door with assorted goodies he *could* bring in (toys, pinecones {don't ask-the cat was bonkers} spools, crumpled tin foil - things like that) and after turning loose his *gifties* and exclaiming over the 'approved' gifties he finally got the hint.

It took a while though.

Mine just eat the bugs they catch ;)

Well, maybe if it was already dead I wouldn't mind so much! ;)

but it kept escaping from her

Yeah, they do that. It's the play toy that keeps on playing!

It could be worse - I have one friend that apparently really didn't know about cats. She was worried about one of mine 'growling' at her but acting very friendly. I had to tell her that the cat was actually purring.

My Kitty has a very soft purr--sometimes I think she's just having problems breathing (which reminds me, I need to take her to the vet...)

sweet kitten! :-)

when we first got our cat, we found lots of legless crickets around... seems that's the tastiest part, um... yum?
