That House works as well as it does is definitely due to the brilliance of Hugh Laurie. For example, Three Stories falls under the Rashomonesque style of telling a story which some people just don't like (can seem too contrived, there can be too much of a push to make it seem profound and complex) and I can generally understand the argument, but Hugh Laurie makes Three Stories work so well since House is so compelling. We also see this with A Trip to the Dentist from Veronica Mars as Kristen Bell is my one true love is so darned awesome in the role ( ... )
