took a day trip to Morro Bay to shoot some S8mm footage for the Glider video i'm slowly, but surely, working on. once i ran out of film, i shot slides. the following resulted:
I know your busy and are working on it when you have time. I am greatly looking forward to it though. Even more so now that Ive seen the stills.
So I met with that writer that I was telling you I was trying to get a project off the ground with and she's working up a basic story off my extremely loose concepts. When the time comes I would like to sit down and see what your thoughts are and see if nothing else if you could give me some advice about it. Im not sure what medium to go with, animated might work better given the way she writes and the subject-matter. Though live action could be cool.
You guys should come down tomorrow. We're going to see Jena Malone (from Donnie Darko, Saved!, Etc.) w/ her band "Jena Malone and her Bloodstains". Its described as Animal Collective meets Neil Young, with a girl vocalist. Should be good times. They are playing Detroit Bar, its $7.
Morro Bay! My entimol;ogist uncle lives there! Next time we should all go and stay at his place. You can see Morro Rock from his balcony. Also, his house is filled with insects! :D
wow! that's amazing. those leaf bugs you had were certainly strange and interesting. i would love to see someone's house that is voluntarily full of insects...
what a beautiful place to dwell. (that is, Morro Bay. i'm not sure about the insects though)
thanks. i really like that one too. but i don't think he is a fan. he said he looks disgruntled. i say, what's wrong with that? i like all the texture and how you can really see all his freckles.
freckles is good! and disgruntled is fun! sometimes people are disgruntled, and documentation of that is grand.
i'm going to work HARD at getting my photos all edited and making a colorado photo blog this weekend. i have no other plans, so i should be able to do it.
Holy cow. I cannot *believe* how beautiful these are! This entire set is just gorgeous. The scenery is amazing and the colours are so vivid and I love *all* of it. I think this is my favourite thing you've posted so far. Though, the ghost town comes a very, very close second.
