Have you ever been in love? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest & it opens your heart & it means that someone can get inside you & mess you up. your a genius and what you wrote should be published and held in the same regard as the writtings of thomas payne's common sense as a way to help everyone realize how foolish we are all being... who really wants this anyways. is there one person anyone knows that has not been completely betrayed by what they think is love? nope. And you, if anyone, should have been able to make love work, and if you cant, im sure no one can. thanks for writting something to brilliant

Hey Julie, it's Joanna from Reed. I came across your journal and read this entry.

Your words are beautiful, you're so well articulated. I completely agree with what you've said about love..about how it makes your soul and body hurt. About how it makes you defenseless, you open yourself up and when love is taken away you feel so incomplete. I always described it like...pie. Imagine having a really yummy pie introduced to you, you totally love eating that pie. Suddenly one day someone takes it away from you, you can't have the pie anymore. It's like erasing that joyous experience and feeling (in this case the yumminess of the pie) from you--you're deprived of it and it's joy. It's so hard to explain, yet you've explained it beautifully. It sucks because when love comes in it becomes fact (it exists and is there) and it becomes habit (you rely on it and look forward to it). Suddenly when it seizes to exist it can throw one into dishevelment and misery.
