It seems after three years of teaching me, the hospital has had enough of me and will not employ me after my final exams. I'm on my way to very good marks in those exams, I should add, so I was sure of getting a job - until I got that nice letter on Tuesday. I'm in the surgery department these four weeks, and it feels like some kind of a retirement home. Loads of old Ladies with broken legs and arms, ringing the bell all three seconds to have their beds put up or down three centimeters. Annoying, really.

Thank God I've already done three of four weeks in the psychiatric department. Not only does my hospital not have one, so I gotta drive there every day and get up at 4 a.m. No, I also have the strong feeling that if you stay in there long enough you'll be a patient faster than you can say "madmen!".
