I love my brown boots.  They're flat and super comfy and oh so cute.  My feet don't get wet when it's rainy (but I still wear my rain boots when it's extra rainy, just in case).  I can wear them with skirts and leggings or tights and they always look just right.  I keep buying brown skirts so I have things to wear my boots with.  Thank you for my ( Read more... )

show me a picture of them! I need a pair of brown snow boots.

don't you think sometimes we talk about our favorite parts so that we have something positive to say (and distract from our lonely and out of place-ness)? so maybe if you don't have a favorite, it's because you don't have a least favorite. and then you like it all just fine.

You have:

Vivace
ferries
apparently delicious mac & cheese
sandwiches? or something John-John loves
a big ole apartment for not all that much money, relatively speaking
TONS of closets and storage space
lots of opportunities to wear boots
easy access to Vancouver and fun nature-y things, including whales
co-workers who start worm composting in your office! (i want some worms, and the botanic gardens won't let me in their class, but that's a different story)
more environmental consciousness than the average area of the U.S.
big city stuff to see and do
other stuff that i don't have time to write about

Maybe none of those are a "favorite," but they're not so bad either. Anyway, if/when you do leave Seattle, i guarantee you'll remember your favorites then.

Also, we have that same pizza place here, except the dim lighting isn't so dim that i'd call it poorly lit; maybe though. Is yours bring-your-own-wine?

I think about that very question all the time... "what am I doing here"? I don't think that I could name a favorite thing about Savannah either, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't be here. There are things going on in lots of other places that I'm missing out on and that makes me sad, but you there are other people who feel that exact same way about where I live. It's all relative. Seattle has an awesome music scene and that is something Savannah DEFINITELY doesn't have, but we can take our cocktails to go- so I'm not sure who wins. ;)
