It's a scary thing to look back a year and see where you were at in life then. To see the way that you acted, they way that you responded to certain things and the opinions that you thought you held. Very seldomly will I look back at my past and see how different I am.

You ought to read Greg Palast's stuff if you're feeling political. The guy's an investigative journalist, has to work for British newspapers because US mainstream media has ostracised him; he asks all the right questions, pisses off all the right people, uses his nose and follows the first principle of investigation: follow the money.
