Hospital weekend with ventricular tachycardia

May 03, 2006 22:03

The short: Friday night (April 28), my hubby Scott took me to the Kaiser emergency room, where I was admitted with a high heart rate (about 190 beats per minute) and had premature ventricular contractions. I just got out this afternoon (Wednesday, May 3); feeling much better now, mostly back to normal.

The long and tedious details here: )

Bloody hell! Where's your promised Snape canon post for snape_the_hbp?? (I have an excuse for being offline since Friday...)

Seriously, thanks for the good wishes. Life looks strange from this side.

I'm very happy to hear you are better. What a scary thing to go through though. I'm guessing they gave you plenty of orders and you have to get rest and not over exert yourself.

Your hubby is a dool though for getting things done for you. You know the important things, like answer your email. LOL

Truly, the importannce of email. I was in the ICU the first night, giving him a "honey do" list and trying to keep it short. The biggest reason for the email list to y'all is so that authors I beta for wouldn't panic when I didn't return their chapters.

LOL, well I panicked! I know you are so good and fast I figured something had to be wrong.

I'm just glad you are okay.

WHEW! Yeah! *Big Smile* I'm so glad you're better and thank you for your husband getting you to the hospital! Yeah, when my mom was having her ministroke in '98, he's the one who noticed it and insisted on taking her in. Well, fortunately everything went well - except for all that leaping off the bed sans paddles and waking up during surgery - and you're getting better ( ... )
