I HATE politics.

And I hate this situation we are in:  The losing side must step back and let the winning side take over...THAT I don't have a problem with, but what I DO have a problem with is those people who try to rub it in the other side's face, like that particular individual has accomplished something on his/her own.

I am sitting in the PPRL Research Lab at LSU waiting for my training to begin.  I am going to be annoying people trying to do surveys while they relax at home, and sometimes in residences where they have unlisted numbers or their number is on the DO NOT CALL list.  Yay ( Read more... )

Besides all the storm stuff that's been happening, I'm pretty happy at LSU.  I auditioned the Friday before Gustav for LSU's Opera Laniappe program, which is their opera scenes program.  This semester is entitled "Great Opera Sextets".  I was offered the role of Susanna for the Act III Sextet in The Marriage of Figaro.  I think it will be a little ( Read more... )

As I sit in my empty cubicle, it is apparent to me that I am about to begin the next chapter in my life.  It's scary, sad and exciting all in one emotion.  I will have many more opportunities to further my career while I'm at LSU, I can tell already.

I'm sitting here at work, bored out of my mind.

I have so much other productive stuff I could be doing right now, but oh well.  There are officially 7 work days left until I leave and move on to the next chapter of my life!  Exciting, but scary.
