We had a nice long convo about my recital, grad schools, and auditioning for the Met.  We talked for nearly 45 minutes.  It was great.

You're gonna be fine! Trust me. Do all those pieces: work on them all. You'll be surprised at how much you accomplish and how GREAT you'll feel afterwards. Don't fret about applying to a bunch of schools either. it's totlaly normal, but I WOULD advise looking at the apps now, even if they are last year's app's. That way you might have a general idea of what theya re looking for: get your "personal statements" and "resumes" and "community service/activites" paragraphs ready. That way all you have to do is cut and paste

Thanks, chica. You will have to let me know if you are going to change your phone number or something, just in case. I will definitely be auditioning at IU, and I will probably try to make the audition for Michigan close to the time of the IU audition so I don't have to travel up there twice. My mom said she would pay for my auditions and go with me, so we shall see!

awesome! I'm jealous you got to chat with Ms. Schrock. How is she? I know she's been a busy bee this summer. I've been trying to let her be and all.

She's fine...she sends her love to all. She seems much happier there. I mean, she always was helpful and nice, but she seems more content. I enjoyed talking with her very much! I could only hope that I would get to talk with her more often, that is, if I get into IU.

Good for you lady! So you'll be starting grad school next fall? That'll be awesome, you can do it. And if you and Stuart have a strong relationship, you can do this, no problem. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

Yes, next fall! I'm starting to get really excited! I just hope I can get an assistantship somewhere, because I really can't afford grad school.

Stuart and I have a strong relationship, it's just that my stupid insecurities make it hard to believe that someone wants to be with me for the rest of his life, and promises he'll be here when I get back. We talked about it, and he said he was going to be the groom at my wedding, so I had nothing to worry about. I believe him, I just don't believe the fact that some guy actually wants to be my groom.

And why not? You are fabulous and beautiful and strong and talented and independent, and any guy would be lucky to have you. Just love yourself as he loves you. :)
