Dear JA,

Was having a mightily shitty day, until I remembered it was Monday and I could be camping out on your page hitting F5 in between frustrating bits of work. Hence pouncing on this new chapter and suddenly having a rather GOOD day. Thank you for your continued awesomeness as a plotty, character-wise author.

Adoringly,
Tehanu

Thank you. I had a rather bad week last week (one of the reasons why I'm so far behind on responding to comments), but comments like yours make it all better. I'm glad I could make your day better. :)

Thank you for this long and gripping new chapter!

i liked that you gave us more glimpses about what is going on in John's head this time!

But I can't even begin to guess what's going on in Sherlock's head though...why was he so tense during the first set of their first game, what happened 5 years ago...lots of questions which I hope will be answered eventually:-)

:) No problem

(Sorry, I'm jusy being hynotised by your icon again. It happens every time. I'll get part way through typing a sentence and then pause to watch it for... a... bit... sorry, what was I saying?)

Yup, a little more of what's going on in John's head, thanks to a number of pretty last minute re-writes. This part alone ended up being 1500 words longer than the original draft. I'm glad it was worth it. ;)

Sherlock's head. Oh who knows what's going on in it. I'm not sure he does. And questions, lots of questions. That's the way of keeping people hanging and coming back for more. Yes, I know, I'm evil/cruel/etc. :D

Oh God, you already know I'm totally addicted to this story, so no need to go down that path.
Thanks to you Monday has become both the best and worst day of the week. Best because(well that's obvious) it's when I get to read another chapter of this fabulous story. Worst, because I have to wait until Monday to finally read another chapter of this fabulous story.

I don't know why I can't make it stop, but I can't seem to enjoy the story to its most. When I'm reading even if I don't want to, my eyes drift to the scroll bar on the right and all I can think is:
Omg it's almost over, it'll be another week until I can read more after I finished this chapter, Oh noes, oh noes, oh noes!
I blame it on you for not writing chapters long enough to reassure my stupid brain.

To summarize: I love you and can't wait for more. Byesies

lol - I'm not sure how long a chapter would have to be to reassure your brain since 8k words is clearly not enough. I have this feeling that we'll all get to the end of the story and it still won't be enough. :D

I'm happy the story is still worthy of being addicted to. I would hate to think all my writing, re-writing, and re-writing the re-writes was in vain. And a declaration of love in the summary, well, obviously that can't be beaten and now you're making me blush. ;)

This is torturing me! I want it all right now, but I want it to go on forever.

TORTURE!

I do like to spread the pain and torture around. I think everyone should have their fair share. Equal opportunities and all that. If this story is going to torture me (which it is), then I think it only fair that it should torture everyone else as well. ;)

Hope you don't mind too much. :)

You're an incredibly talented author, you know that? I don't know how but you've managed to turn tennis -a game I have absolutely no interest in in real life- into something riveting and exciting. I check weekly for updates, and you never disappoint! Sherlock seems to be in a very quietly contemplative and introspective mood in this chapter. Oh dear, I hope that this doesn't bode ill for their relationship. I get a feeling something ominous is causing it, but I do hope I'm wrong! Your John, as always, was lovely; so understanding and patient. Great work, as usual. Looking forward to your next installment!

Thank you. That's incredibly lovely of you.

That's a lovely way of putting it. He's... well, there's a lot going on in his head of his and I suppose you could say that a storm is brewing.

Glad you're enjoying it, thanks for commenting. :)
