Yo- Ho, Yo- Ho, a SOLDIER's life for me...

((AU-verse. Not a part of any RP. Continued from here.))Cloud shifts in the sheets, arms reaching up to stretch out his previously dormant muscles. He slept okay, if he even slept that much at all, only dropping off after he heard Roxas attempt to sneak back into their hotel room ( Read more... )

Cloud makes a humming sound as he watches the blade fade back to wherever they're stored until Roxas' will calls them again, noticing with some simmering overprotective feelings mixed with wry humor that one of those Keyblades very much matched a certain cocky and loud-mouthed, two-faced, teenaged menace's weapons.

Did he have to give the dreaded speech on the chocobos and the cactuars to Roxas?

Cloud shuddered once.

Maybe it was time to call Tifa, after all.

Of course, that thought is interrupted when Cloud notices Roxas' blushing face, strangely reminiscent of his own when he was younger. He tilts his head to the side and down, not realizing that this move only flexed and displayed his upper body more, and tried to catch Roxas' wandering eye to figure out just why the boy is getting redder by the moment.

"Are you suffering from something?"

Well, he might not have to - odds are Roxas has more than likely figured it out on his own by this point, but then again that's never stopped parents everywhere from embarrassing their kids anyway. So really, it'll be up to Cloud in the end.

"I'm fine," he answers, stubbornly looking off at a point just above Cloud's right shoulder. As soon as Cloud manages to get something on, be it towel or actual clothes he'll be just fine.

Cloud does not want to think about that, thank you. He's perfectly fine with pretending both Roxas and Sora are sexless.

His eyes narrow at Roxas' not so steady words, a hand coming out to feel at his forehead for heat or fever. "You don't look it," Cloud insists.

He'll find neither heat nor fever, interestingly enough. Must be something else that's got him doing his best impression of a tomato.

"You kind of aren't wearing anything," Roxas explains, still Not Looking at Cloud.

"What?" Cloud responds intelligently, a second or two passing in confusion as he stares at Roxas. What does not wearing anything have to do with Roxas turning red?

Cloud glances down at his chest, eyes passing along the white and raised marks of sword wounds and scalpel precision cuts, straight line down to his very naked toes.

Oh. Oh.

"I'm sorry," Cloud apologizes, looking back up at Roxas and understanding now. "The scars bother you, don't they? I didn't exactly ask for them."
