Yo- Ho, Yo- Ho, a SOLDIER's life for me...

((AU-verse. Not a part of any RP. Continued from here.))Cloud shifts in the sheets, arms reaching up to stretch out his previously dormant muscles. He slept okay, if he even slept that much at all, only dropping off after he heard Roxas attempt to sneak back into their hotel room ( Read more... )

"Maybe a little, yeah." This is possibly the understatement of the year, especially considering fklsdjglfd that's his dad. And the naked has just as much to do with the blush as the scars do.

And besides he really really doesn't want to think about where all those scars came from, even if he can't tell exactly what sort of thing made any given one of them.

"Well," Cloud continues, completely oblivious to the fact that his nakedness has anything to do with it, "you get used to them after awhile. And I don't blame you. Who would want to look at hideous scars on someone?"

There's no hurt or recriminations in Cloud's tone, just honest understanding and resignation as he slips on a knit vest taken from their bags. Ruffling his spikes once to get all the water out, he slides on his loose combat pants, donning side sweep, straps and harness immediately after.

There's no point in having Roxas be exposed to his past weaknesses, even if he'd grown so immune to their effect after five years of experimentation that he hardly registers them.

There's a nod at Cloud's words, even though Roxas doesn't actually look at Cloud again until he's got his clothes back on. And luckily enough for the both of them, by the time Roxas' blush fades away he's decided that he's just not going to ask about how Cloud ended up with all those scars. Curiosity only goes so far, after all.

Fastening his pauldron on, Cloud blinks at Roxas, nodding once towards the open bathroom door as Roxas continued to stand there.

"Are you going to use it? I'll pick up some breakfast while you do."

Oh, right. That morning stuff. He'd almost forgotten about that.

"Yeah."

It's a shame that he can't scrub his brain out too, but well, he'll survive.
