Unofficially, I would really appreciate it if you would please extend an apology to my mother, as well. She may not be as proper as my father was by any means, but you have to understand she took what you said not only as an insult to me, but as an insult to her departed husband, her personally, and our family.
Personally and professionally, I worry for you. If there's anything you can tell me that might help me understand this, please come to me. This is not the first time you have displayed this sort of behavior, and I know that if you truly felt the things you have said about me and my family in these instances, we would not be on speaking terms now... nor ever.

On a more personal note, you may want to say something to Teppei, as well - I can give you his email or phone number. Naota is chalking it up to PMS (please ignore that) but Teppei's feelings were hurt. He really misses Dad, and I think he's looking to me to substitute as Dad until things calm down. Right now he doesn't want to hear or believe that there is some reason why I can't support my family through this. He already isn't horribly keen on you, I'd like to keep that from turning into something needlessly negative. You and your family have been valued friends to me and mine all of my life. I'd like to perpetuate that tradition.
