like i told u - un-Joss and unrealized potential. like u said - "not as witty or funny like I would have expected from Joss" and also "plot line is not really engaging". what i liked about it - it's unsettling (and this is exactly where talented, talented Alan Tudyk comes in), though the plot line is mediocre the script isn't bad at all, it does contain Joss-surprises to some degree and most of the characters have potential. so i'm hoping for an improvement if there is indeed a second season. btw - i'm not a fan of Eliza Dushku but she doesn't bother me, unlike whiny, annoying, unfathomable (and not because she's enigmatic, more because after three buffy seasons with her i still don't understand what terrible sin we buffy-spectators have comitted to deserve her) Michelle Trachtenberg.
Did you know that the show is considered "controversial" because it (doesn't) deal with issues of rape & slavery? When I first heard of it, it kinda made me laugh with dismissal & say "well, those ppl obviously were not paying attention, 'cos they do discuss it, that's supposed to be the whole point Agent Ballard". But now, after some thought (about the issue, not the show :P ), I think there's some truth to it - the show-makers just gloss over it so smoothly, you really start to think along the lines "well, if they don't remember it/thought they wanted it, then it's kinda okay", only it's not. And it's not the nature of their assignments, it's the fact that they have no choice. Or in RL analogy, it's like being drunk/drugged and being abused/taken advantage of...
Oh, M.T. D: (her last name always made giggle. it's somewhat obscene in Russian) I've seen some web speculations about her being in the next season. But maybe she grew up being less annoying?

As waisting time goes its acceptable. But not too interesting. Last say the even Burn Notice was better. I have better stuff in my download cue, like House and Battlestar Galactica.

"Burn Notice" - just how good is it? Does it worth a download?
I'm slowly warming up to the idea of BSG, though in the past I completely dismissed it over the whole Queer Invisibility thing. (And no, 10 seconds of semi-Major-Character gayness in a Super-Secret-Web-Episode is not enough. pfft.) Somebody told me that it's like "West Wing" in space. That true?
