I just received an email passing on the heartbreaking news that minotaurs passed away this morning, and I'm sitting here in stunned disbelief and denial. Stuart was one of the first fans I met outside my local group, and for my first three or four years in fandom, at every con I went to - and there were at least three or four a year - I shared a room with

I am so sorry. I never knew him well, but, like Aral says, it's so hard to imagine fandom without him.

Thanks. It's a loss for all of us. For me, as for so many others, he's been part of fandom since the beginning; fandom without him...I just can't imagine it.

I'm so very sorry to find that out. I didn't really know him, but I met him a couple times at Escapade and heard him speak, and he just seemed like the nicest guy. What a terrible loss for his friends and family.

Yes, he was a really wonderful guy. It's a terrible loss for all of us - he was such an integral part of fandom. I'll miss him so much, and I'm one of many in that. I still can't believe it.

I only knew of him through his website and the occasional con report, but am very sorry to hear that.

Thanks. I am sorry for all of us - such a loss for all of us who knew him. It's so heartbreaking. I'm still in stunned disbelief.

I know, it's terrible, awful, horrible news - I still can't believe it. A friend of his who I met at con.txt last year emailed me last night; he wanted to spread the word into fandom, and I spent fifteen minutes staring at the email in shock, not able to believe it could be real. I'm still having difficulty.

I met him at my first con too (though not his!) - dove right in; shared a room with him and treewishes. I'll never forget it - or him. I'm going to miss him too; I can't imagine fandom without him, can't even envision what it's going to be like, going to cons where he's not there. I don't even want to think about it.

So damn sad.
