My 2011 Playlist
Last year, I created a playlist for a friend who was out of touch with pop culture. It was supposed to be an 'educational tool' so one could say, "oh, I've heard of Taylor Swift and can now name a song she sings" sort of thing. So, a few things have changed since I last checked-in here at my old, Internet home. I'm out of practice with writing, but hoping (as always) to get back on the proverbial horse.

The Wedding.
I, along with seemingly half my Facebook friends, dragged myself out of bed at a very early hour today to watch the Royal Wedding of Will & Kate. I didn't follow any coverage beforehand and haven't since, but I really wanted to watch it live. Striking a Chord.
I've chosen to put my thoughts out here for many reasons: sometimes just to work out something I've been considering, sometimes for want of an audience, and sometimes to mark the path of my life so I can look back later and see where I've been, just to name a few. Thinking and Driving.
I was hired to play oboe this morning at a church in a city west of Rockford. So, I hopped in my car and started driving west. I don't drive west very often; I drive east (to Chicago) and south (to Peoria) all the time and north (to Wisconsin) a fair amount, but not west.
