So the East Coast experience contains many aspects, one of which is the lovely "chirping" of tons o' cicadas.  Looking up cicada on wiki, I found that the "magicicada" species has a life cycle of 17 years - all spent underground except for a few days where they all come out and mate.  The interesting thing is that having the 17 year cycle gives it

holy crap the cicadas are ridiculous. I've been here for two weeks and I'm still not used to how freaking loud they are! it's insane! I don't understand it

so i can't really tell by this post if you're enjoying school. I just got back from a really rugged outdoor orientation experience with the hippies at my school. it was ok. I thought about you today though.
