The 2nd Name

Okay. What just happened?

This is a strange place indeed. First I suddenly arive here without any memory of what happened to me, then I've gotten info about people transforming into animals, and now...every structure has somehow turned into things of a sugary substance.  Either I've been transferred into a different world (I surprisingly remember ( Read more... )

This world is just... strange in general. I'm starting to get used to it, even though I haven't been here too long.

I think that all of us are from different worlds. This place is so diverse in inhabitants... I still have yet to remember anything, so I don't know much about the world that I came from, but I see a lot of people walking around who look like they'd be from a place faaaar back in the past.

Some of the cafeteria food is still normal, so I think eating there would probably be your best bet. Not to mention, that stuff's free.

Oh! I don't think I introduced myself to you yet! I'm Mistral, nice to meet you!

In my opinion, strange is an understatement. o.o From others who have helped me and/or answered some of my questions, there's things happening here that range from people transforming into animals, costumes that come to life, and not to mention that everyone that comes here has lost their memories.

Thanks for the info-and I would agree with you. Some people don't look like they're from the universe I come from...like I said, somehow I do remember the athmosphere of my own universe, if not just intuitively.

I just hope eating normal food doesn't backfire on me and I end up getting food poisoning. It's a rather pessmistic view, but given the nature of this place, it's best to approach everything with caution. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm not sure if I've introduced myself to you either. I'm Light. It's nice to meet you, too.

Light? That's an interesting name. Though, I guess I'm one to talk ^^;

I'm one of the prep cooks for dinner, and we make sure to cook the food well, but...

Maybe we should start taste-testing the food before we serve it?

Interesting, indeed-and mysterious indeed. I was talking to Lady Serra earlier, that there is nothing I can find that implies "light", or at least brightness.

I'm not really blaming you, it's just the force that controls this place. It might cause something to happen. (Besides, I'm currently trying to get a job as a prep cook at the onsen; it seemed like the wisest choice because it was open, obviously, but also it gave a pretty decent salary and didn't seem as pressuring as others, like something else of higher rank. I'm trying to also use it as a opportunity to find out more about myself or induce a memory, at least)

Maybe; but if the food happens to actually be faulty, you're the one that's going to suffer the consequences.

Eh? You have no sense of humor, really. Just think about it! Vittles! It's not, like, you know, food, but, vittles. Yeah?

I do, it's just not here at a time like this.

Yeah, but vittles are food. There's a certain charm to using "vittles" over "food", but...

If you require money for food, I'm sure someone would be able to give you a loan. There are also job postings around, usually.

The problem with the loan idea is that I might have to pay interest on it, and being currently unemployed and seeking a job, it might be hard to do. But thank you for the information, anyways.
