My cat Marble is dead.
She was run over by a car.
I'm very sad, I will miss you Marble. You were a beautiful cat.
I loved her very much.

my marble memory:

the one and only time I met Marble, she was a coy minx at first. she was jumping on tables and stuff. I finally caught her attention and petted her. I even tried to pick her up, and I don't really like cats that much. But she was a cutie!

i remember you telling me the tradition of giving your cats M names, and how it took your family a long time to settle on Marble.

I remember she didn't like to be picked up, but that you could hold her for a couple seconds anyway before she jumped out of your arms.

I remember her sitting up on her hind legs and swinging her front paws like a pinwheel at Mug.

When I first met her, I sat cross-legged ont he floor in between your living and dining rooms and put her in my lap. The thing was, she was too small to really fit on my lap, and she just sort of fell between my legs and curled up there, looking up at me. I just about melted.

When we were up in the treehouse some nights ago and Marble was trying her damndest to get up there with us. And then she was sniffing out a fresh territory mark. I remember that clearly.
