I've just been through some of my old entries from years past. I was a very verbose journal-er. it's strange to think there was a time when everyone was into this, (pre-facebook era) and we all read our friends' entries and commented and made them feel loved and responded with entries of our own and even pictures on occasion ( Read more... )

Came across an amazing article today about a Russian noble by the name of Prokudin-Gorsky, who created a series of color photographs of the Russian landscape in 1909 - this is before penicillin, people.

I've forgotten just how wonderful it is to have a solid chunk of time in which you are obligated to do absolutely nothing. Break has been rejuvenating for that reason alone, and will make it all the more difficult to dive back into the fray when it comes time to return to Purchase ( Read more... )
