Wednesday, I had three observers in my room at the same time. One was the assistant principal, who I expected to see at some point during this round of observations. Last week was a total blur. A long, long blur. Basically, we got our summer teaching assignments and spent the entire day at the school taking classes to prepare ourselves for the onslaught.  I'm teaching Integrated Physics and Chemistry at Davis HS in Houston.  Rough neighborhood, but a nice school.  Basically, we have 17 class days to cover the ( Read more... )

Recap of Day 4:  Service project at an elementary school in Henderson. Twas fun and got high on paint fumes. Lost track of time and got left at the dorm by the bus going to the picnic. Fortunately I figured out where it was and got a nice self-guided tour walking across campus. Highly disappointed with North Carolina BBQ, but had fun hanging out. ( Read more... )
