Why do I take grades really personally?

Today was SO much fun. Went to class in the morning then cruised over to Venice Beach. I still can't believe I live here now and can cruise over to the beach whenever I want. Venice Beach is really cool. It's a mix of homeless people, surfers, artsy types, and rich artsy types, or rich people who dress as if they were artsy types. I love it. ( Read more... )

Anytime you meet anyone here and tell them you're from Boston... or whatever other city you may be from, the person from L.A. says something to the tune of,
"Oh fresh meat."

I really don't see the appeal. Am I exotic? Or just not yet corrupted?
