Sasuke's delivery service

I carried the flowers and shot off as quickly as I could to a secluded alley where I can perform the henge jutsu without witnesses. It looked like I wasn’t spotted. Good. I threw the damned flowers down on the alley ground and did the seals. A poof of smoke dispersed to reveal the form of Hyuuga Neji, whom I’ve chosen as my guise. I smirked. It’d ( Read more... )

As I made my way through the village streets (having left the house to get some air) I sensed someone releasing chakra in an ally that I'd just passed. Someone using chakra in a shinobi village wasn't so unusual, but why would they be hiding in an ally? More than likely it was only some academy student showing off to his friends... but even so I decided to look. All I found was a lingering cloud of smoke... whoever had been here was gone. I glanced upward and caught a brief glimpse of someone on the roof. There was more going on here than mere child's play. I activated my Byakugan to see who this person was... and saw mayself. Whoever was just here had transformed into me and was now moving south across the rooftops. The truly perplexing part was that this person was carrying an armload of flowers. Was this an enemy or just someone trying to be funny ( ... )

Shortly after my departure, I felt a trace of chakra from behind me. Not sure if it was just a coincidence, I kept my attention on it, and realized that somebody was following my every step. Narrowing my eyes, I considered the options of confronting them directly or stay low and find out who it was first. Dropping quickly down to the ground, I created a bunshin and let it continue the journey. I suppressed my chakra and hid myself in the shadow of a nearby building and looked for the tail.

A split second later, the unmistakenable form of Hyuuga Neji fleeted across my eyes. I widened my eyes. Seems that I've been caught already. A smirk slowly made its way across my lips. This was going to be fun. I shot off after him.

My quarry had sensed that they were being pursued, but they obviously didn't know by whom... otherwise they'd know that such a diversion was useless, I could see exactly what he was doing. Keeping my eye on the original body in its hiding place, I saw him smirking... he'd seen me and was moving again.
I jumped to the opposite side of the building as he approached, not wanting to start a fight in the middle of village unless he forced me.
"And who might you be?"

As to be expected of the genius Hyuuga Neji, he figured out that the other fake Neji is a bunshin. I smirked and landed behind him, flowers abandoned on the ground a few feet away. He stood there with his back facing me, his cool question carried into the wind.

"Why do you think that I'd tell you who I am?" I retorted back. He'd have to find out himself, I mused. Ah, my muscles are itching. It'd been a long time since I've had a fight.

This guy has some nerve... given that he's running around looking like me, doing God knows what, I'd have been fully justified in beating him senseless and asking questions later. But never mind... his reply made it clear that he wasn't going to reason with me.
I sprang forward to strike... I only needed to interrupt his chakra flow and force him to drop the Henge no Jutsu, and then I could see who I was dealing with.

I narrowed my eyes and dodged his strike. I have to be careful not to let him get my tenketsu, or else I'd lose the henge. Flipping to a safe distance, I took out my kunai and charged at him. Projectile weapons are useless, since he has his Kaiten.

I let him come.... by moving closer he was only helping me. When he was within striking distance I made my move, collapsing several of his tenketsu in the arm that held the kunai. He wouldn't be able to hold onto the jutsu now...

Kakashi laughed a loudly at something Kurenai said as they walked together. They were on their way to the shops to help find each other clothes for the festival that seemed to be coming up quickly and Kakashi was hopeless when it came to dressing himself.

For a moment he felt a familiar Chakara signiture flare up ahead and his eyes narrowed. "Did you feel that?" He said quickly to Kurenai, meaning business.

A rather unfamiliar, cheerful snicker arose from the woman as she ambled alongside her friend. The poor man needed a bit of feminine touch every now and then with fashion. Needless to say, it was nice to be away from the home.

"Huh?" Kurenai blinked for a moment at Kakashi's sudden change in attitude, "What are you-" She cut herself off, feeling what she hoped was the same thing, "Yes..."

It wasn't going to be a turn for the good.

I nodded to Kurenai quickly and dashed off into the direction it was coming from. It didn't feel good and hopefully they would make it in time before something horrible happened.

He saw what appeared to be Sasuke and the Hyuuga, Neji, fighting. From the distance he could see Neji strike Sasuke at an alarming speed. Thirty-two strikes... He thought to himself.

Growling darkly and gritting my teeth as 62 of my tenketsu were blocked, I lunged and aimed a swift kick at him as my henge dropped. I could see his eyes widen as he took in Uchiha Sasuke's form. I underestimated him.

...Uchiha Sasuke? Of course... he was Kakashi's student; who else would know that jutsu? He was now so close that I was barely able to dodge his next blow; the missed kick to my face still came too close for my liking. I quickly moved behind him and struck him between the shoulders, knocking him off his feet.

"Uchiha... explain yourself."

I smirked when the expression on Hyuuga's face hit my eyes. I could tell that he was seriously pissed off. That was the point of us fighting anyway. I closed my eyes for a second, focusing in regulating my chakra to its normal flow, and directed an amused gaze at him.

"Ah... and why should I?" I taunted. I could see his brows furrowed more, the veins on his face protruded out from his skin. But he knows that I haven't been using my full strength. And if he comes at me again, he won't be able to dodge a second time...

He really didn't want to make this easy, did he?
"Look Uchiha, this whole situation... sneaking around looking like me, and then resisting when I confronted you... you can't deny that it looks quite suspicious. So if you do have a legitimate explanation for what you've been doing, I'd like to hear it... or I can report this to Hokage-sama, and you can tell her instead."
