Ayn Rand, Anthem

Given her background, perhaps some of the extremism can be excused. And there are gems in the book, no matter what.

Anthem and Night of January 16th were the first Ayn Rand books I read, and I enjoyed them both. I find it hard to believe that the same person wrote Atlas Shrugged, which I could not stand.

When I can scrounge up enough interest, I'll take a look at We the Living.

I loved the Fountainhead. I blame it for my liking modern architecture still.

I skipped about 30 pages of sermon near the end of Atlas Shrugged and missed nothing.

I have heard similar comments about the Atlas from several sources!
