i love walking down kalakaua around sunset.  you can look across towards the beach and see a tangle of palm trees, and through the trees you can see the sun and the water..and you can see the surfers in the water and it's the most beautiful thing ever.  not only is is postcard quality stuff, but just seeing all those people catching the last waves ( Read more... )

we just had another frickin earthquake.  this one was a little smaller than the last one...i think it was a 5.0 that hit the big island.  same spot as last time.  we only felt it for a few seconds but it still freaked me out.  i was awake and again i knew what it was, but i had trouble believing it was happening AGAIN...in all my years of living ( Read more... )
