Sometimes I think I could be though. My co-workers and I went for a drink after work at 1am, and we were talking about alcoholics. I don't know why, it just came up for some strange reason. The one reason I don't think I could be an alcoholic is that is costs too much.

Ok, so I haven't written in my journal for a while now, basically because things have been so fucked up it's not even funny. Most recently, I've pulled a muscle in my lower back and it felt like someone shoved a knife into my lombar every time I turned my head. On the plus side, GREAT DRUGS. Muscle relaxers are great stuff.

My power was out for 5 days. 5 DAYS. And nights. I had to stay at the 'rents house in another town. HATED IT.

We had to drive 400 miles to pick up Nicole yesterday. Hated that too. Can't stand car trips of any length and 12 hours, six of them with two children is not fun.

Day two without Nicole. We're both like addicts without a hit. We miss her very much. There's a b it of freedom is being without a child to care for, to find a sitter for...but there's the heartache of knowing someone else is reading her stories and tucking her into bed.

I'm not sure how I feel about Nicole going to New York for three weeks. Part of me wants to cry, I raised her since she was a baby. She's three now and I know my heart will miss her. Three weeks of paid vacation. Well, two seeks of paid vacation and I'm laid off for the third. Nothing anyone can do about that. But I'm not going anywhere, sadly. I'm going to be here, doing house things like painting and sanding and cleaning and such. How sad is that?
