HALP! I NEED BOOKS!

I realized yesterday that I'm going on a long, boring, lonely trip with a long, boring, lonely plane ride in just a couple of days here.  And I need a book or two to keep me company.

Something I haven't read before, something that is engaging, something that I won't want to put down.  I'm having problems with this, you see, because I've already ( Read more... )

Something I think you might enjoy, based on the limited number of books you've posted so far, but is not terribly well known - is the Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay.

Any of the old Heinlein teen novels. They're short, well-paced, and stimulating.

Or come stop by my apartment and we'll look through my shelf.

I've been into non-cookbook Foodie books as of late. "United States of Arugula" by David Kamp and "The Man Who Ate Everything" by Jeffery Steingarten are both witty and fun books to read.

They're foodie books, but still enjoyable for anyone :-)
