Just beat Assassin's Creed. I loved the game. It's beautiful, technically amazing, and I quite enjoyed the world (both parts). The ending is a bit nontraditional, but it worked really well for me. Gameplay tip: Don't bother to get flags, unless you see a flag near an objective point, where collecting the flag becomes a useful respawn point. Yeah, ( Read more... )

So, Rock Band is absolutely awesome. piman brought his copy of Rock Band in to work, and four of us rocked out for a good 2 hours. It's basically as fun as I hoped it would be, and the feeling when you get 4 people in groove is awesome. I recommend quick Play band mode, with all songs unlocked. Well, that was a pretty significant earthquake. First time I've actually felt one, and it made the office at work shake for a good 10 seconds. Not particularly pleasant.

Doesn't seem to have done too much damage, but it's early.

Long time no post. No particularly good reason, except that it's been really busy at work. I had been working on a secret project, and then I was temporarily moved to the non-secret project, which was extremely busy and a bit behind schedule, and now I'm back on the secret project. Yey! Things that are sweet: Portal. It's part of the Orange Box HL2 collection, and is awesome (although only 2-3 hours long). I need to go extract the ending song.

So, I don't own a digital camera. There have been 3 occasions over the last week where I thought to myself "I need a digital camera!". So, what camera/kind should I buy? skate is pretty fun. It's a new skating game from EA, and in my opinion it blows recent Tony Hawk games out of the water. The controls are simultaneously more intuitive and more difficult to master (Right trigger = right hand grab, for instance, and manually consists of slightly dipping the right analog stick).
