I found a new apartment within the same zip code, yet far enough west where I *shouldn't* have as many obnoxious neighbors.  Considering I'll be two blocks from the city's second-largest cemetery, that cuts down on urban density.  And my hero, Marshall Field, founder of Marshall Field's, is residing there, so that's a plus.  The apartment includes

Yay! I'm glad you got your apartment. It sounds wonderful - both price and population-wise. I'd love to see your new place once you are settled. I'd be inclined to come your way as December is sketchy weather-driving month and it's easier to take a bus to Chi-town rather than try and drive to Milwaukee. As far as I know I have nothing scheduled during that time so keep me in mind.

Sweet. The new neighborhood isn't as convenient, as in there aren't as many things in my backyard, but there's all kinds of stuff within a five-minute walk. And as much as I hate winter, Chicago is absolutely beautiful during Christmas season. I'll pencil you in.
