Dinosaurs are divided into two groups based on their hip structure.
One group has the hips of today's bird, the other is of today's reptile.
Birds have been considered to stem from dinosaurs
However, they do not stem from the bird hip group-
they stem from the reptile.

It's a crazy, ironic theory.
My professor had a diagram up, which apparently proved it, but he'd be better at explaining it than I.
