I've said it before, but Martin broke me, broke HeadBoy & Boy2, with this one scene. My god, he was magnificent.

Please tell me Martin and Benedict are great friends in real life.

He really was. Oh, and I think we can say it as many times as we wish -- he was MAGNIFICENT. AMAZING. BRILLIANT. FANTASTIC. Martin, do you get it? You knocked it OUT OF THE FUCKING PARK.

From what I can gather, they get a kick out of each other, and their chemistry is just this very natural thing. Which pleases me greatly. ♥

Waugh. Love these. Beautiful. And as for the last one - you could just SEE it within him, letting the soldier take over, turn, walk away properly, hold it together until he can get in private.

WAUGH.

So so glorious. I fear I'll be disappointed by The Hobbit. It just can't live up.

I loved all the little moments throughout the ep before the end climax too.

The bit where they're getting ready for Moriarty's trial? It just seemed so.. domestic. Like, for some reason, I forget that they *live* together. That they have to do everything within the same space, including regular things like put on shirts and coats.

There was just so much, wasn't there? I haven't even watched it a second time yet (too much work, and I'm a little scared to), but I want to revel in the domesticity of their lives together. They're friends. They share a living space, they share so much. ♥

Oh yes, the bare feet were one of the first things I noticed in that shot as well. It was so incongruous with the way we usually see him that it really punched me in the gut.

I'm realizing now that a lot of people noticed that -- I'm glad it wasn't just me that sort of sucked in my breath when I saw that. It was such a vulnerable state for him and it made me cry harder.
