back to Town Lake, i guess this is a recovery run of sorts from the 10k on friday? longer distance, fewer stops, post/pre-rain weather was downright pleasant!

How long do you get out of a pair of shoes, anyway?
I'm all frosted because I pay $65 for a bike tire that only lasts 3000 miles, whereas I pay $30 for a car tire that lasts 40,000 miles. I'm guessing good running shoes are even more frustrating in a dollars-per-mile way.

the saleslady told me around 300-400 miles, but having run in not optimal shoes for my feet and having pain and numbness, it's something i don't mind paying for.
