My students were looking at sample TAKS essays yesterday.  I labeled them "Essay A" - "Essay G."

Clearly they weren't all paying attention.  I told a student to read Essay G and identify the figurative language.  He made the note to look at "S-A-G"

Hey, slightly off topic but I met a couple of English teachers from the other high school in San Angelo. I asked them if they knew you anyway but they didn't. It was in Austin at the Texas Exes Awards for Outstanding Teachers conference. Small world, huh?

I saw online that one of those teachers won one of those awards. She's new at Lake View this year. We've met, but I never knew her name:)

Definitely a small world!
