When I read the previous chapter, one thing that I didn't like was how every problem seemed solved. I mean, Brian is back, a couple of days with Justin and now everything is alright? That didn't sound right to me. I was a bit disappointed, I must admit. But I should have had more faith in you :) now, as Justin said, everything makes sense. And I really liked how you described Brian change of mind. And how you keep us all on our toes! actually, when Brian see the other car approaching, I thought you wanted Justin to have an accident on that damned tree, so that Brian could save him.
Last thing: I kept on reading and pausing to do something else because I didn't want to go on and read about bad news.. but at the end I just had to know. Great job!
I think Justin felt the same way. Everything was just a little too easy. That's why he was a bit suspicious and worried the whole time. And as a reader, that would have disappointed me, too. I'm glad you enjoyed the ending.
Powerful! I loved Brian's step by step monologue, as he travelled to that chosen tree to pay his debt to Fate. However, in true Kinney fashion, he began to realize all the reasons to remain on this mortal coil. And, really, Brian should have known that Justin would put it all together, before racing out to that country road. LOL The final line was made of win, as Brian seems to finally be on the road to healing.
Sorry to see this fic end, but I have truly enjoyed every word. You are one of my favorite QAF writers, presenting the voices of Brian and Justin in such a unique and awesome fashion.
OMG...I love this amazing and intense chapter. It took my breath away, so to speak. I know how fascinating a tree can be. *sighs* I wanna hug Brian for his decision to live and to give love a chance. But that I will leave to Justin. LOL. Thank you so much! :)

I'm glad that Brian was able to reason through it on his own.
