Can I just say, I hate it when the candidate(s) I vote for lose?

Well, once they finished counting the city and counted the other state of Illinois, my one guy rebounded like crazy and wound up winning.

In the race for governor the same thing happened except that at this point we still don't know who our governor will be because it's that close and they have to wait for absentee and other special votes to be included...at one point there was only a 7,000 vote difference. I guess for now it's just wait-and-see...

Our governor has been in office for 10 years now and he's completely batshit insane. Everything that comes out of his mouth is ridiculous, and he's an embarrassment. Of course, he was re-elected. :(

I hope that your candidate for governor wins.

I saw that Perry was re-elected. Sorry about that. Texas is a pretty republican state, right?

As far as our governor, it was really a matter of the lesser of two evils. Illinois has suffered from two criminal governors in a row, and now our choice was the guy who's done nothing but put us in debt and is saying he's going to raise taxes, and a guy who wants to lower minimum wage, doesn't believe insurance should be required to cover mammograms and pap smears, doesn't believe in equal pay for women, and believes in mass euthanasia for animals. The second guy hasn't given any answers about how he's going to pay for anything either, so what do you want to be he's also going to raise taxes?

Anyway, the gap has grown and it's looking more like the democrat will probably retake the office--elected this time.
